CHICAGO – Livingston International has acquired Houston, Texas-based Evans and Wood & Co., Inc. (“Evans and Wood”), Livingston’s president and CEO, Peter Luit, announced today.
Livingston International’s latest acquisition strengthens Livingston’s U.S. air/sea customs brokerage and international forwarding platform in the United States, establishes a presence for the company in Dallas and expands its growing operations in Houston. It also gives Livingston additional expertise in international logistics management services to offer full sourcing, shipping and other logistics services to clients.
“This is an exciting growth story for us,” said Holland Evans, president of Evans and Wood & Co., Inc. “We are thrilled to become part of Livingston International and to be able to offer expanded services to our customers as well as career opportunities for our staff. Together,” Evans added, “we provide a single-source supply-chain logistics management program without compromising compliance, in our markets in Canada, the United States and Mexico.”
“Like Livingston, Evans and Wood is focused on customs and trade compliance, with an excellent reputation for high-quality service performed by extremely knowledgeable and professional staff,” added Luit. “As North America’s number one company focused on customs brokerage and trade compliance, we are well positioned with this new acquisition to enhance the services we provide to importers and exporters in the U.S. and internationally. Evans and Wood increases our footprint in the south and is an important part of our growth in the United States.”
Established in 1983, Evans and Wood is a customs broker, freight forwarder and international logistics management services provider employing approximately 30 people in Houston and Dallas, Texas.
