On July 26, 2018, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced that it has launched an investigation under the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) respecting the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of Certain Corrosion-Resistant Steel Sheet originating in or exported from China, Taiwan and South Korea.
The investigation follows a complaint filed by ArcelorMittal Dofasco G.P. The complaint is supported by Stelco Inc.
Subsequently, on July 27, 2018, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) gave notice that it has initiated an injury inquiry to determine if the alleged dumping of the goods specified above has caused injury or retardation or is threatening to cause injury to Canadian manufacturers.

Parties wishing to participate in the preliminary injury inquiry must file a notice of participation with the CITT on or before August 8, 2018. .
