USTR Approves COVID Related China Section 301 Exclusions

The U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) approved COVID-19 related exclusions, effective January 1, 2021 through March 31, 2021, making them not subject to Section 301 additional duties on Chinese origin products. 

Exclusions for List 1 use Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) 9903.88.62. Out of the 24 exclusions granted, two are new and 22 were extended.

Exclusions for List 2 use HTS 9903.88.63. Out of the ten exclusions granted, four are new and six were extended, and include 4 complete HTS.

Exclusions for List 3 use HTS 9903.88.64. Out of the 35 exclusions granted, ten are new and 25 were extended, and include 14 complete HTS.

Exclusions for List 4A, use HTS 9903.88.65. Out of the 30 exclusions granted, four are new and 26 were extended, and include 15 complete HTS.

These exclusions are found in Chapter 98 of the U.S. HTS, in Subheading III, U.S. Note 20 (ooo), 20 (ppp), 20 (qqq), and 20 (rrr).
