Par cons\u00e9quent, nos trains circulant dans les corridors depuis Toronto et Chicago jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Prince Rupert et Vancouver doivent \u00eatre plus courts, ce qui signifie une capacit\u00e9 intermodale cons\u00e9cutivement r\u00e9duite. <\/p>\n<p>Pour appuyer notre plan d\u2019exploitation ferroviaire hivernal, nous avons d\u00e9plac\u00e9 toutes nos \u00e9quipes de train et nos locomotives disponibles \u00e0 des emplacements cl\u00e9s. Nous avons \u00e9galement install\u00e9 des salles de situation critique au Canada et aux \u00c9tats-Unis afin d\u2019optimiser le contr\u00f4le de la circulation ferroviaire. Nous sommes d\u00e9termin\u00e9s \u00e0 d\u00e9placer vos marchandises aussi prudemment et rapidement que possible. Toutefois, selon les pr\u00e9visions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques, le froid glacial durera encore 7 \u00e0 10 jours dans des r\u00e9gions cl\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Consid\u00e9rant la r\u00e9duction de la longueur des trains et la capacit\u00e9 du r\u00e9seau, nous observerons des r\u00e9percussions temporaires sur la ponctualit\u00e9 des trains et le temps d\u2019arr\u00eat en station. Vous trouverez ci-dessous d\u2019autres renseignements concernant le r\u00e9seau et les terminaux ferroviaires :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alors que le flux de v\u00e9hicules vides se d\u00e9place vers les ports, le flux correspondant de conteneurs charg\u00e9s quittant ces derniers est \u00e9galement moindre.<\/li>\n<li>La circulation vers l\u2019ouest provenant de Toronto et de Montr\u00e9al augmentera et les r\u00e9servations \u00e0 la barri\u00e8re sont en cours de r\u00e9vision afin de s\u2019assurer que les activit\u00e9s des terminaux demeurent fluides. Nous enverrons un avis quotidien concernant la r\u00e9servation actuelle.<\/li>\n<li>Comme les parcs de conteneurs (PC) de Calgary et d\u2019Edmonton pr\u00e9voient une congestion accrue, le nombre de r\u00e9servations \u00e0 la barri\u00e8re sera r\u00e9duit \u00e0 un nombre limit\u00e9 cette semaine, qui pourrait \u00eatre r\u00e9duit davantage la semaine suivante en fonction des conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques. Nous vous encourageons \u00e0 vous servir d\u2019autres PC durant les 7 \u00e0 10 prochains jours.<\/li>\n<li>En fonction du nombre \u00e9lev\u00e9 de conteneurs vides sur place et afin de maintenir la fluidit\u00e9 de ses activit\u00e9s, le Chicago Harvey Terminal fermera les voies pour camion r\u00e9serv\u00e9es aux v\u00e9hicules vides pendant deux jours, soit de 0 h 1 le 1er janvier \u00e0 23 h 59 le 2 janvier.<\/li>\n<li>Un nombre r\u00e9duit de conteneurs charg\u00e9s aux fins d\u2019exportation sera accept\u00e9 au terminal de Saskatchewan.<\/li>\n<li>Les terminaux de Detroit et de Memphis sont toujours op\u00e9rationnels et les activit\u00e9s y sont ais\u00e9es.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qui plus est, le Port de Montr\u00e9al est ferm\u00e9 en raison de la disponibilit\u00e9 de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre r\u00e9duite sur le front d\u2019eau. Par cons\u00e9quent, nous devons refuser les arriv\u00e9es \u00e0 la barri\u00e8re pour des cargaisons \u00e0 exporter ou les v\u00e9hicules vides \u00e0 destination du Port de Montr\u00e9al jusqu\u2019au 2 janvier, date pr\u00e9vue de la r\u00e9ouverture du port.<\/p>\n<p>En ce qui a trait \u00e0 la circulation intermodale des importations et des exportations OSM, nous vous invitons \u00e0 ajouter 48 heures au temps de transit pr\u00e9vu. Nous surveillons la situation de tr\u00e8s pr\u00e8s et vous fournirons d\u2019autres mises \u00e0 jour sur la circulation ferroviaire \u00e0 ou de nos terminaux et nos ports.
