The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (or CPTPP) is a multilateral trade agreement signed on March 8, 2018 by Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam. When the CPTPP Agreement is implemented, it will reduce or eliminate tariffs on a wide variety of products, including agricultural goods.

The rules and policies that will govern the implementation and administration of the TRQs under the EIPA will be determined by the Minister of International Trade before CPTPP comes into force.
