Anti-dumping duties are now being assessed on certain corrosion resistant steel sheet imported on or after November 16, 2020.
On October 16, 2020, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), made a final determination of dumping and subsidizing of certain corrosion resistant steel sheet originating in or exported from Turkey and Vietnam.
Subsequently on November 16, 2020, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) issued a finding that the dumping and subsidizing of the aforementioned goods has caused injury or retardation or is threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry.
The original investigation included the United Arab Emirates, but the investigation was terminated as it was found that the volume of dumped and subsidized goods from this country was negligible.
For a detailed description of the subject goods as well as the applicable HS codes, please refer to the Corrosion Resistant Steel Sheet 2 case in the Measures in Force.
The statement of reasons will be issued within 15 days.
