February 28, 2020 – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued CSMS #41799886 designating the Port of Ysleta, Texas, as port code 2401, effective March 16th, 2020.
Adding Ysleta as a separate and distinct port of entry within CBP’s El Paso Field Office improves their proactive responses in the growing El Paso metropolitan area.
Members of the Trade Community are instructed to transmit as follows:
- E-Manifest – When arriving at Ysleta, port code 2401 must be used.
- Entry – Entry and Entry Summary transmission will continue to use port code 2402 (El Paso).
- In-Bond– For cargo arriving at Ysleta from Mexico, moving in-bond, the origination port will be 2401.
-The destination port for in-bond merchandise will be either 2402 for El Paso, or 2401 for Ysleta, depending on where destined.
- FIRMS Code – A new Facilities Information and Resources Management System (FIRMS) code of ‘SCN9’ was established for Ysleta’s Cargo Lot Facility.
- Exports – Port 2401 will be active for Electronic Export Information (EEI) submissions in the Automated Export System (AES), for modes road and hand-carried.
