1. DEIB Mission
We are dedicated to cultivating a workplace where everyone feels valued, empowered, and safe. We prioritize education, commitment, and advocacy to promote inclusion, belonging, and the celebration of diverse perspectives. We strive to advance equity, opportunities for all, and a culture where everyone can thrive to contribute to lasting, meaningful change.
2. Purpose
At Livingston, we believe that DEIB is not merely a set of ideas or committees, it is the foundation upon which we build exceptional experiences for our associates, clients, and partners. Our DEIB framework is a fusion of our core values and our dynamic, inclusive ethos. We are committed to creating a workplace where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered, while driving innovation and operational excellence through diverse perspectives.
3. Scope
This framework applies to all associates, contractors, clients, and stakeholders worldwide. It is integrated into our hiring, career development, workplace culture, leadership training, client interactions, and our approach to innovation.
4. DEIB in Action: How We Live It
4.1 People serving people
We recognize that an engaged, diverse, and supported workforce delivers exceptional service. We:
- Invest in ongoing training and development for all associates.
- Recognize and reward inclusive leadership – the best leaders attract and develop diverse talent.
- Encourage “followership” leadership, ensuring all associates have access to mentorship, growth and opportunity.
4.2 Build trust through transparency
Radical transparency builds trust. We:
- Provide open forums, employee resource groups (ERGs), and anonymous reporting channels for feedback.
- Maintain transparent DEIB metrics and goals, aligning them with business success.
- Embed inclusion in client and partner interactions, ensuring diverse perspectives shape our work.
4.3 Fast-Paced, Inclusive Decision-Making
We eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy and ensure equitable access to opportunities by:
- Ensuring decisions are made by individuals who are best equipped with the necessary knowledge and experience.
- Using structured hiring and promotion processes.
- Creating cross-functional teams leveraging diverse perspectives.
4.4 A Culture of Belonging
We believe that everyone should leave every interaction feeling valued. We:
- Embed DEIB into daily operations, not just corporate statements.
- Celebrate cultural diversity through global events, observances, and mentorship programs.
- Provide accommodations for associates with disabilities and other unique needs.
- Partner with diverse suppliers and invest in communities that reflect our global workforce.
4.5 Futurist Mindset: DEIB as a Driver of Innovation
Great ideas come from everywhere. We:
- Seek diverse perspectives in ideation, process improvement, and client solutions.
- Encourage courageous innovation, where all associates feel safe proposing ideas.
- Ensure the cost of maintaining outdated, non-inclusive practices outweighs the risk of change.
- Address how systems and tools will be audited for bias (e.g., AI in hiring, accessibility of tools).
5. Accountability & Continuous Growth
DEIB is a business imperative, measured like any other performance metric. Leadership is held accountable for inclusive hiring, development, and decision-making. We regularly evaluate and improve our DEIB initiatives based on feedback, data, and market trends. Bi-Annual DEIB scorecards will be reviewed by the Senior Leadership Team and shared with associates to ensure transparency and progress.
6. Reporting & Support
We are committed to maintaining a workplace where every individual feels respected, valued, and included. If you experience or observe behavior that does not align with our DEIB values, we encourage you to raise your concern as soon as possible. Retaliation is strictly prohibited.
You have several options for reporting:
- Your Manager: If you feel comfortable, start by bringing your concern directly to your manager.
- Your People Business Partner: If you prefer, you may reach out to your Business Partner for support.
- DEIB Inbox: Concerns can also be submitted to [email protected] which is monitored regularly by our DEIB Committee leads.
- EthicsPoint: You may also submit a report through our confidential third-party system, EthicsPoint, online or via phone call. Find details for your country through: https://secure.ethicspoint.com/domain/media/en/gui/9128/report.html
7. Conclusion
At Livingston, DEIB is not a checkbox; it’s integral to our corporate philosophy. We believe:
- Inclusion fuels innovation.
- Empowered people create exceptional experiences.
- The future of global trade is diverse.
By embedding DEIB into our ethos, we ensure our people, clients, and partners experience a workplace and industry that is equitable, inclusive, and future-focused.
