John Clancey has been Chairman of the Board at Livingston International since July 2010. Mr. Clancey brings to the role a wealth of experience in the transportation, logistics and supply chain industries, including 22 years as a chief executive and 16 years serving on the boards of public companies.

With Sea-Land Services Inc. from 1971, Mr. Clancey held various roles of increasing responsibilities, domestically and internationally covering Europe and Asia. In 1989, he became the CEO and President of Sea-Land Services until it was acquired by Maersk in 1999. From 1999 to 2010, he was Chairman of Maersk Inc., one of the world’s largest shipping companies. He has also served as founder and principal of Hospitality Logistics International, a key services provider to the hotel industry.

Mr. Clancey is an advisor to Sterling Partners, a board member for Airgas, and serves on an advisory committee for Brookfield Asset Management. In the past, Mr. Clancey has served on the boards of some of the nation’s top corporations including UST Inc., Foster Wheeler, and AT&T Capital.

From October 25, 2016 to February 1, 2017, John Clancey took on direct leadership of Livingston International in the role of Executive Chairman until a new CEO was appointed.

Under Mr. Clancey’s mentorship, Livingston International will continue its customer-first focus through innovation that optimizes its customers’ user experience and streamlines their supply-chain processes. The executive leadership team works closely with Mr. Clancey to continue to drive optimal performance throughout the organization and identify new opportunities for business development.
